Winner Of The New Campus Of Vioenna University Of Economics And Business Competition Announced
Japanese architectural firm Atelier Hitoshi Abe have been announced the winner of the New Campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business competition (WU). Their design the ‘Mille Feuille’ (French: thousand sheets) consist of two main sections. The building is organized around three distinct outdoor spaces; the north plaza bordered by student amenities, the central corridor which contains department entries and the south boundary that connects students to nature. The organisation of long thin layers allows the building to be responsive to different site conditions and provides flexibility for future adaptation.
