‘NU Architectuuratelier projected this building with a double function: an advertising agency today with scope for conversion to housing tomorrow. This called for an open, flexible layout.
Set on a white concrete plinth, the black sculpture called LINQ is reminiscent of a modern villa, yet the north-light roof construction has the character of industrial architecture. Daylight enters through four north-light roofs, creating a diffused lighting mood in the white internal space.’
This outstanding housing is located in Beukenlaan 109, Sint-Denijs Westrem, Belgium.

This skyscraper in Madrid is 71 metres high and was built between 1964 and 1969 by Spanish architect Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza. Its façade consists of cylindrical volumes, with round overhanging balconies at the top of the mixed-use building.
‘Strandkanten is a new housing area just south of the centre of Tromsø, attractively situated on a reclaimed area in the Tromsø strait. This area is an important part of the city’s development strategy, where a concentrated growth from within will strengthen the activity in the centre and reduce the need for transportation.

‘Thrills abound in the Havenstraatterrein, an area the size of about ten football pitches, approximately halfway between Vondelpark and the Olympic Stadium, on the edge of Berlage’s Plan Zuid. Shortly after the beginning of the twentieth century, the construction of Haarlemmermeer station and the Havenstraat tram depot determined the fate of this site as an urban fringe area devoted to rail transport.

Maison Go, by Peripheriques architectes in Thionville, France. The house is wrapped in profilit, a glass profile that provides a transparent solution, with thermal insulation and privacy.

Arcam (Amsterdam Centre for Architecture) moved to its new quarters on the waterfront at Oosterdok in September 2003. The decision to move to new premises was prompted by the desire to give a forward-looking institute a more contemporary look and the growing need for a larger exhibition space. A small pavilion, designed by Renzo Piano, was partly demolished leaving the floors and columns to be integrated in the new design.

‘Built | 2003 | Erandio | The complex should house 40,000 m2 of work areas and almost 1,000 m2 of parking spaces in a gently sloping green field site. The embodiment of the new building tried to retain the atmosphere of the landscape comprising two rolling hills against a background of low mountains.
