Lace Fence By Demakersvan
Lace Fence is a design of Dutch Design House Demakersvan. It is a high-end metal fabric that gives new insights in how you can create unique environments.
It combines the ancient craft of lace making with the industrial chainlink fence. Every fence is unique in its design by its craft and assembled patterns, which come in a variety of themes. From antique lace floral to contemporary designs and custom art patterns.
‘Lace Fence shows how something which was meant purely functional can also be decorative. Hostility versus kindness, industry versus craft.
The variety in patterns is endless. The design and density of all patterns is flexible, meaning that all patterns can be adapted in scale, mesh width, size and material.’
Lace Fence is available in two types of wire with an outside diameter of 2,5 or 3,0 mm: galvanised iron or PVC coated. Both types are suitable for inside as well as outside use.
Originally, the colors for Lace Fence chosen by Demakersvan are white or galvanized. Other colors are available on request.
Demakersvan have been collaborating with a number of partners on public projects which integrate the Lace Fence into their developments:
In collaboration with Kuipercompagnons (Silvian van Tuyl & Wytze Patijn), Demakersvan is working on the ‘Fiets Appel’ project in Alphen, the Netherlands in which 1260 m2 lace fence will be applied around the bike parkade at the city’s railway station.
The fence will take the shape of an apple, encasing the bicycle parking lot which winds in a spiral formation. The project is part of a larger initiative which is developing the station’s surroundings at Alphen which is still a largely underdeveloped area in the heart of the municipality.
Het Podium
The facades of the apartment buildings, designed by SeARCH architects, are covered in white Lace Fence. The facade consists of 150 panels that are seamlessly put together as a total of 3000m2.
Windmills
The pattern of the surrounding fences is derived from the old bakery logo of the flour producing windmills in Brugge, Belgium.
Wrangler
The facades of the Wrangler stand on the Bread& Butter fashion fair in Spain. In collaboration with WINK architects.
Momentum
The walls of the Dutch real-estate company Momentum in Amsterdam. Lace Fence is mounted on to the walls, without a frame.

Obama will continue to violate laws and ethics standards, and violate the Constitution until the Congress steps up to the plate and holds him accountable through their lawful authority. The Establishment Media are PART of the Democrat-Left power machine. They are its propaganda arm, pure and simple they helped create Obama, helped put him in the White House and will lie, cheat and fabricate to get him re-elected. They will NOT oppose him or critique him except very gently at most, and then reluctantly. So the GOP and Tea Party crowd need to bypass the media to speak to the American people and do what is needed investigate this abuse of ethics. If FEC laws were violated, take appropriate action. Investigate the Gun Walker scandal and prosecute whomever needs it. And don’t, don’t, don’t think the Democrats or their Media arm (NYT-WAPO-LAT-MSNBC-CBS-ABC-CNN) will do anything but attack you for doing so.
