"Cities of tomorrow must understand nature's ways of building structures and communities, and change the mindset of urban dwellers from exploiting the environment to being more in tune with nature.."--Mr Ken Low, assistant chief executive, STB

i would think that in line with the strategic site in which the singapore pavilion is located in, "a site between Nanpu and Lupu bridges, along both sides of the Huangpu River", and the concept of "understanding nature's ways of building" a building form which is more sensitive to the site context would be more appropriate if u claim to be talking about environmentality. currently, it seems very disturbing to have a ufo landing on a site with such layers of history.

"the 3,000 sq meter Singapore Pavilion will showcase singapore's achievements in sustainable development, its continuous drive to reinvent itself, its creativity and other lesser known aspects of Singapore beyond its economic success."

a really good and noble aim! but why a roof top garden (which looks detached and closed off from photos to begin with) as a main attraction! dont Singapore and we Singaporeans have much more to showcase besides our "garden city" idea which has been around for years and also unoriginal for that matter( it was taken from london)
