This competition entry by local architectural firm ALA is located in Helsinki, Finland.

The program consisting mostly of social housing is laid out according to the urban plan to create an identifiable facade towards the ring road.

The plan also called for terraces, which seemed to remain in non-optimal orientation. By placing the terraces according to daylight conditions a surprising mix of terraced housing and a traditional Finnish residential slab is created.
