Farmhouse // Oeken // The Netherlands // FARO Architecten

This 150 year old farmhouse located in a rural area of Oeken, Netherland, has been renovated and expanded by FARO Architecten. The barn represents modern rural architecture: it’s simple, practical and eloquent.

The barn shows how minimal means can lead to large results. The no-nonsence manner in which this “simple barn” has a large panoramic window shows a pleasant openness to conventional styles. This window invites the landscape in and leads the view outwards.

The barn has one large space with a wood stove, a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, a bedroom and a loft.

  2. Normally when I surf the Net I don’t find much work that grabs my attention, but yours did. I’m glad I found this and I will show it to others.
